Spelman Students Talk Politics

In case you missed the the WAGA-TV Fox 5 broadcast featuring SSGA President Miriam Archibong, C'2009, and Marquise Alston, C'2011, president of Young Democrats, discussing Spelman students' plans to attend the Jan. 20 inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama, you can view the story beginning, Friday, December 5, at http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/myfox/.

During the interview, Archibong and Alston also discuss how their political views have evolved since entering college, and how those perspectives have changed since Obama's victory.

Don't Miss These Upcoming SSGA Activities:

Chicken And Business: Every Wednesday

For the past couple of years, the cafeteria has served fried chicken on Wednesday. As a result, the Spelman community began referring to Wednesdays as “fried chicken Wednesday.”

This year, your SSGA is launching a collaborative initiative with Aramark in which you are invited to dress professionally each Wednesday. On the last Wednesday of each month, your SSGA will invite professionals to speak about their career and potential internship opportunities.

On select Wednesdays, the SSGA historian will take candid photos of Spelman women dressed professionally. Periodically, these photos will be posted on our SSGA Web site and our Wall of Excellence.

Dining Council Meeting

Every third Wednesday of the month @ 5 p.m.

Come share your thoughts with us about what improvements you would like to see in the cafeteria.

'How May We Help You Table'

SSGA is here for you! Catch us every Friday at the "How May We Help You Table" from 12 p.m.-5 p.m. and feel free to reach us on myspace. facebook and twitter.com

SSGA Wall of Excellence
